Roero DOCG Bric Valdiana

Nebbiolo (Michet, Lampia)

This is our only wine mentioning the name of the additional geographical reference (MGA) on the label: Bric Valdiana is a vineyard on a mainly sandy soil, in the southern area of Montà d’Alba. The traditional small building within the vineyard, which in piedmontese dialect is called ciabot, features sea shells inserted in its stones, telling the marine story of the hill and its terroir.

Vines looking south on a sandy and calcareous soil. Plus, 18 months ageing in large casks. From here, a wine with a double soul comes to light: it is a true Nebbiolo for ageing, complex and structured, but it is also elegant, juicy, appetizing.

It gives out sweet and elegant fragrances: iris, violet, rose, liquorice, wild strawberry jam, cherry, dried thyme. On the palate, a very fine layer of tannin, closing with a long, tasty finish, like a classic Nebbiolo aged in large casks.
