Roero Arneis DOCG Bricco Delle Ciliegie

Arneis

It comes from the most elevated vineyards of Roero Arneis denomination, at 390m. From the top of this hill, you can see Monviso and Monte Rosa. Here, 40-year-old vineyards grow on a mainly sandy terroir, with accents of limestone and clay.

For the most part, it goes through a stainless steel ageing on fine lees for 7 months, with a small part ageing in small oak barrels.

Thanks to the very special soil of this hill, unique for Arneis, the floral aromas typical of this grape variety combine with mineral and marine hints, recalling the sandy soil which millions of years ago was in the sea. Fragrances of jasmine, apple, white peach, orange and acacia blossoms mix with balsamic notes of mint and anise.

On the palate, a deep mineral feel, almost salty, a good freshness and a long finish.
